You are welcome to the itools community, to join our mailing list; the bug tracker is available¹ to report bugs and propose feature enhancements; the sources can be browsed through the web²; and don’t forget to check the web site for the latest releases and news.

1.3.1 The web site

The web site http://www.hforge.org/itools/ is the main window to the outside world. Some things you can do from the web site are:

• Download the latest release of itools.

• Browse the documentation.

• Find links to other itools resources.

1.3.2 The mailing list

The mailing list is the place for open discussion about all-things related to itools. If you have a question about itools, want to propose something or to make a comment: the best way is to drop an email to the mailing list (itools-subscribe@hforge.org).

1.3.3 The issue tracker

The issue tracker chosen for itools is bugzilla³ (note that to submit a bug report, or to make a comment to an existing thread, you need to be authenticated):

If you find a bug, please take the time to fill a bug report, follow the procedure below:

• Find out whether the bug has already been reported. Use the search interface of bugzilla.

• If you find the bug has already been reported, add a comment to the discussion thread.

• If the bug has not yet been reported, please fill a bug report.

To ask for an enhancement, like a new feature or a change to the API, please use the procedure below:

• If the change is clear in your mind, and you think it does not needs broad discussion, just open a new issue in bugzilla.

• If you think the new feature or change to the programming interface would benefit from a broad discussion, send first an email to the mailing list (see below).

• Once the issue has been discussed, if it has been decided to go ahead, open a new issue in the tracker with the details.

1.3.4 The source archive

The source archive is available to the public⁴, you can browse the history online with this web interface:
